Food & Beverage Assistant wanted!

High Post Golf Club is currently looking for a full-time Food and Beverage Assistant to work Friday - Tuesday.

Your responsibilities will include:

Taking orders from customers
Serving food and beverages
Operating the till
Reconciliation of the till
Clearing tables
Food preparation
Closing up duties
Hours of work 10.30 to dusk (winter hours are fixed and will be discussed at interview)

Mechanic Greenkeeper:

High Post is an 18-hole member-owned downland golf club which has been in existence since 1922 and was awarded the Golf Club Managers' Association Team of the Year 2015. The site has a recently constructed driving range and extensive practice facilities. An opportunity has opened for a mechanic greenkeeper to join the team leading up to the club’s centenary year.

The successful candidate will have a passion for their chosen career and under the general supervision of the golf Course Manager, will be responsible for the maintenance and up-keep of the turf machinery. The chosen candidate will also participate in presenting and maintaining the golfing facilities and calcareous grasslands to a high standard within the team of greenkeepers.


Schedule and perform appropriate preventative maintenance work.
Keep all mowing equipment operational and properly sharpened.
Perform routine servicing and repairs to a variety of turf machinery including tractors, riding mowers and hand mowers.
Keep service records on all equipment.
Maintain workshop area in a neat orderly fashion and in accordance with health and safety legislation.
With the guidance of the Course Manager, Maintain appropriate inventory of stock.
Willingness to keep up to date with current industry trends and training opportunities.
Carry out general greenkeeping duties as outlined by the Course Manager.


Have experience with the maintenance of golf or amenity horticultural machinery.
Qualified to NVQ level 2 In sportsturf desirable although not essential.
Spraying and chainsaw certificates desirable although not essential.
